The Visual Arts

BASD is proud to be recognized as an Outstanding Visual Arts Community by the Pennsylvania Art Education Association.

The visual arts allow for creative self-expression while teaching students studio habits of mind.

All students take art courses from kindergarten through 8th grade. Students work with mediums that include sketch and drawing, painting, weaving and textiles, ceramics and pottery, and more. 

High school students can select from a wide selection of art courses that can be found in the BASD High School Program of Studies.

Additionally, BASD partners with several community arts partners to benefit students, partner with teachers, and collaborate on visual arts projects initiatives throughout the Bethlehem community.
