BASD Music

BASD offers a robust music program that includes: 

• General Music, K12
• Vocal Music 
• Instrumental Music 

General music is offered to all students in grades K-8, with a robust offering of courses in grades 9-12.

Our vocal music program begins at the elementary level. Elementary vocal programs may include seasonal concerts, grade-level or school-wide performances, as well as choirs for students who wish to further pursue vocal music. Students may continue to pursue vocal music at the middle and high school level through both the general music curriculum, as well as well as middle school and high school choral ensembles. 

Our instrumental music program begins in grade 4 as students are introduced to woodwind, brass, percussion, and string instruments. Students may participate in music lessons taught by our elementary instrumental music teachers. Students may also have the opportunity to perform in school performances or in district ensembles.  Students may continue to pursue instrumental music at the middle and high school level by participating in marching band, orchestra, and various ensembles. We are proud to have two nationally-recognized and award-winning marching bands, the Freedom High School Patriot Marching Band the Liberty High School Grenadier Band.
